Ilya - Bellissimo (Alternate Version)

I wouldn't be at all surprised if the finances towards the making of this film wasn't a contributing factor to why we were dropped when EMI took over Virgin.(Especially as we were told it was the decision of the lawyers involved and they were solely looking at finances) This film cost around 40,000 to make and was made with no artistic agreement from us. Virgin just went ahead and commission it. It was as close as you could get to the last thing we ever wanted for the song. Myself and our manager Marc Picken had voted for an animation involving Polar bears in the Arctic snow, from up and coming paper cut artist Rob Ryan (who became hugely famous) but the lads weren't so keen on that and so Virgin ran off with their paedophile idea.  When they showed us this film we were flabbergasted that someone could take Bellissimo and seriously make such a revolting film. I was LIVID! We said that that film could not be used and Marc found a short film that had already been made and gained the rights at a cost of £25,000 to use it to our song. Our album hadn't yet been released and so much money spent!!!
